History
In Graz, there were and still are numerous women who have played a pioneering role in their field. their field a pioneering role and who with perseverance, resistance and assertiveness
the position of women in previously male-dominated men dominated areas significantly strengthened have.
Embedded in the context of women’s history conveyed in these corridors to be seen and on a local council resolution from the year 2012 based “Pioneering Women’s Gallery” based on exemplary women who permanently or temporarily worked in Graz were, such as the gradual establishment of women in the fields of education, natural sciences, politics and art took place .
In addition it is planned that the “Pioneer Women’s Gallery” also encourage girls and women living in Graz today themselves in the most diverse areas of life as pioneers or innovators in various fields. For there is still much that must be fought for, discovered and created be done.
